Chris and Abby’s Journey to the 2026 Paralympics

Chris has been leading key projects at MKS while also guiding his daughter, Abby, who is pursuing her dream of competing in the 2026 Paralympics in Milano-Cortina, Italy. Abby, who lost her vision at age 6, started skiing at 9 and has been an alpine ski racer for six years. She competes in three disciplines and is currently ranked 12th in the world in slalom.

On the slopes, Chris guides Abby by skiing in front of her, wearing bright-colored clothing, and communicating through headsets. Abby follows his instructions and the bright visual cues, navigating the course as a team.
Last week at the Winter Park Open in Colorado, Chris and Abby competed in six races, earning five silver medals and one gold. With a packed race schedule ahead, they remain focused on securing Abby a spot on Team USA.

Chris and Abby will continue this incredible journey to the Paralympics.
